FAQs

This is dependent on, if the awning is electrically operated or manually operated and the construction of the wall. If the wall requires chemical resin, this does lengthen the installation time slightly. We normally estimate an installation to take around 3 hours roughly.

On Primrose’s website, there is a selection of options to choose from, click each option below for more information:

The controls will need to be purchased directly from Primrose and arrive prior to your awning installation.

The motor is located on the left (if you are facing the wall). The 4-core cable from the motor is approx. 1.8m long and then in the box with the awning will be a 5m length of 3-core cable to connect from your chosen operation to your plug socket. We will need you to check to make sure the 5m length of cable will be long enough to reach your chosen plug socket. If not, we can supply additional cable if required, at an additional cost.

In bungalows or single-storey homes, the wall height above windows and doors is often limited.
To ensure your awning sits at the correct height and pitch, we use custom-made brackets designed specifically for low rooflines — such as gutter or spreader brackets.
These brackets safely project the awning above obstructions and anchor securely into the brickwork or structural points, ensuring a strong, long-lasting fit that looks neat and professional.

Yes — we regularly install awnings on single-storey extensions.
Depending on the roof type and clearance, we may use specialised brackets (for example, offset gutter or spreader brackets) to achieve the ideal mounting height.
Our experienced engineers will review photos of your wall and roofline before installation to confirm the best fixing method.
This ensures your awning sits perfectly, provides proper headroom, and remains safe and stable in all conditions.

✅ Yes! We professionally install awnings from brands like Primrose, Outsunny, and ManoMano.
